History
Dr. Paul Radway started volunteer surgical work in 1992.  He worked in Honduras many times, and also in Nepal during vacations from his practice in Pueblo, Colorado.  Later his travels expanded to Tonga, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Malawi, and Madagascar.  He also did two short stints with Medicins sans Frontieres to Sierra Leone and Abkhazia.

After doing a volunteer trip in 2005, Dr Radway was asked to give an “inservice” to the operating room personnel at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo.  After the discussion, several anesthetists, nurses and techs asked if they might get involved in volunteer work, and International Surgical Missions was born!
Parkview Medical Center, through its CEO, C.W.Smith, gave its support (ISM at PMC) and the group began raising money and planning missions.
